tunnel vision

walking slowly in the dark, fumbling through the present blackness between words, between worlds, between windows pained with fragile emotions we don't mean, walking to a better place, walking out.
in time, trying to find where we had been, back then when things got crazy. too crazy for me to stay sane the same.
left with nothing. left to squirm in the shame of it again.
